Started to think about moving to Jersey. Look for a condo over there. Prices on condos in brooklyn are unbearable, i and my wife have been looking for a good apartment for 2 years now. Also the way they build now it looks like a box with windows for enourmous amount of money!!!! 430000 for two bedroom condo! Crazy. I agree that living expense is number one while you are a newlywed.

I know what you are saying I have moved out from nyc once we got married a year ago to Connecticut. Prices are different you can buy a beautiful house for that kinda money. Hope you will find what you looking for . Take a deep breath though it might take a while!

I feel ya, my hubby and I are still living in our little flat in Brooklyn and planning on leaving within the next year. We can barely afford ourselves let alone start a family here. Most likely we'll be moving out west to my home land of Oregon and Washington.
